He uses James Trussart metal guitar (Les Paul type) mainly. The sound is good enough, sounds aggressive than his Les Paul Jnr. But the string is easy to be broken, it is because he bends it strongly??? I don't know.
The set list is mostly the same as the one from the last French tour. But all the songs sound fresh to me. He says he doesn't like live, but I love live. He always tries something new onstage, though the licks he plays are the same! I have gone to his gig many times, but I was disappointed only two times. If you are interested in any of his songs you have to go to a club to see him. Any CD/records can't re-sound he produces. And, I say, he has been playing a song only one time even though it is the same titled. The sound is different and the performane is also different. So you are excited. It's a kind of drug, legal cocaine. (And, yes, some times he fails, of course.)
By the way, Kantine in Cologne is the best club where I have gone. The sound engineer works very good and all the stuff are the professional. It's a pity that the audience is a bit small.
